Purchased by his race owner for $8K at OBS as a two year old and was in training at Gulfstream Park, as his injury became more apparent, he was moved off the track into a boarding facility then another. Not properly diagnosed and not treated, he came to us as a 3 year old in Nov 2022

Will lead, follow, or go out on trail alone.
Goes barefoot and bitless Would need scoot boots or something for rockier trails
More go than whoa despite being a senior. That said he’s not. hot, just likes to move out.
Needs an advanced beginner or intermediate rider.
He is ridden here by young students but under close supervision, he would not adopt out as a kids horse

Has competed in Grooming and Conditioning and Showmanship at the Punta Gorda shows

We picked up “Teddy at Gulfstream Park with a bowed tendon and he spent a year in rehab. He is ready for a home where he can be ridden on trail, at shows, but everything on the flat. He is suitable for lower level dressage, obstacles, trail, showmanship, liberty work and just so much!

He is a lot of horse, topping out at a solid 17hh and bulky. Broad chested w a hunky body. He needs an owner that will bring him along and give him more life experience. He is 12 years old! All adoptions require an in person meet and a reasonable match. All horses go w contract. Adoption fee $1,000

Number Two Sun aka Chevy SANCTUARY

He was seized by law enforcement in Homestead years after he left the track. He was a body scale of 1 and almost didn’t survive his long term neglect.

Took It From Him aka Wiley Woo- FL – SANCTUARY
Was vanned off the track at Gulfstream Park after suffering a fractured coffin bone during his last race. A previous owner to loved him, brought him home and started the rehab process. He came to us shortly after at just 5 years old. He is one of our outreach horses and helps teach classes.

Lattimore aka Cypress – – LA- SANCTUARY
Fratured his right knee twice racing in Louisiana and then came here. We did discover he also had kissing spine and he had surgery to give some relief

He teaches classes and is an outreachorse. He doesn’t sweat so its hard on him down here. He spends many days in front of a fan and under misters w his buddy DanceontheMonday another sanctuary horse We have tried all the fixes for this, including Acupuncture – nothing has helped.
