JC Pawan barn name Typhoon

Boy does this guy have a story!

Another ex racehorse in our care here at Track to Trail

Pawan, who we call Typhoon was thought to be injured training at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, FL
Unfortunately he was not properly diagnosed, went untreated for about a year before coming to us Nov 2022. When we looked at his sales videos, it does appear that he had the injury before arriving at the track.
He is 6 years old, a bay gelding standing 15.2hh – he should top out around 16hh

He was very lame, and after much diagnostic work (x-rays, ultrasound, needlescope) we discovered that he had a torn meniscus w a bone cyst causing so many issues. We got him surgery in the first part of 2023 and he has had follow ups and is now clear for turn out. All of his work has been at Brandon Equine w Dr. Richter and Dr Maher – adopters will have full access to his medical records.

Right now his page is a work in progress. He has really been so smart and willing about things, learning about targeting, and having a strong play drive its been really fun experimenting w enrichment.

Adding more pictures and videos- his complete story, but here is our start! We are currently collecting comment fans for things an adopter would want to know about him

Adoption fee $200

Typhoon loves to play and loves his friends!
Who wants to go “Typhooning”? This was when he first came, as a three year old. Hes a good boy now! He just needed to learn a few things, he earned his Solid Citizen award!
Such a good boy. Targeting, riding w a neck rope, just all around solid guy
