Ex racehorses- how often I hear-
They only go one speed. 40 mph
They only go one direction
They are not good w kids
They need a strong bit
They need to be led w a chain
They will wrap you around a tree on trail
They don’t know how to stop.
These are just a few of the grossly incorrect things I’ve had people say to me
These horses coming off the track have an incredible amount of training. They are people pleasers. They want to do the right thing.
Where things get messed up is when they are not understood. Where people want to be harsh with them. Micromanage them.
They don’t need that at all. It’s hard to find a breed that will go to the moon and back like a Thoroughbred.
Less is more people. Less is more
